As an artists who claims to be inspired by the landscape I am often critical of myself for not getting out and drawing more strongly on my inspirations. The discipline of spending forty minutes walking through the landscape looking in a meaningful way has been insightful and uplifting. Giving oneself a reason, a purpose, like a daily pilgrimage to a place which you have chosen and marked with an object. It has fulfilled its intention of venerating the landscape in its own right.

That area of landscape is so phenomenal it does not need any art or art cannot convey its splendour. However I hoped by placing an object at a particular vantage that it would make us look beyond the Jar to its setting and what surrounds it.
